Reincarnation: do you believe in it?
As much as I tease about what I'd like to come back as (maybe an elephant) or mocking the romantic scene from The Notebook about being a bird, I do not believe in reincarnation. And in case you're wondering why I put a photo of a chicken to this article, it's because I took this picture in a health food store parking lot in Hawaii (Island of Kauai, where there are more chickens than anything else.) and I thought it would be hilarious to come back as a chicken, chillin' in Hawaii. In this short post (from my 365 Days of prompts) I will explain to you what my beliefs are.

Of course we all say that we're all created equal, which we are in terms of rights. BUT, God has created each body and soul unique. Each individual is a special creation by God, carefully formed for that particular life. Meaning, it would be silly to come back and start over with the same soul, as an animal or someone else. I know the Lord works in mysterious ways but, come on! Wouldn't you like to believe in eternal life elsewhere other than Earth?
The Bible does say that once a body dies, the soul will detach from the decaying body, and will be sent to eternal judgment (those who rejected Christ), or sent to an eternal life in paradise (heaven). This is what I believe. That I will come back as an angel (sounds silly when you say it) and live in paradise with my Creator. Because that's how I would want to be rewarded for living a Christ-lead life on Earth. A place where troubles are no more. This is when people would like to call me a "Jesus freak," but I'd have to agree with them. Being a Jesus freak is well worth what he'll give me when my soul leaves my body!
