As you all know, I'm running an Etsy shop, selling Mala-inspired necklaces and bracelets. I have already written an article on what they mean to me, and they're about to mean a lot more. You probably all know about the devastating earthquake that happened almost a week ago in Nepal, and I want to use my success with Foxy Malas to help them as much as I can.
Nepal has always been a place to visit on my bucket list. I wanted to see all the landmarks, go hiking, and experience the Nepalese culture. Sadly, some of their landmarks have been brought to bits and pieces, and the once beautiful land is suffering more than ever. Since I don't have the funds to volunteer myself (which I would LOVE to jump on a plane right now and help), I figured I could help at least a little with a portion of my income from Etsy.
I am now donating 10% of each purchase made in my shop to disaster relief for Nepal. If you're wondering exactly where this money is going, it is going to the Samaritan's Purse organization. An organization that my family has been donating to for a few years now around Christmas time. They have a section on their website that is specifically for Nepal Earthquake relief. All of the money donated goes to providing shelter materials, cooking kits, hygiene kits, and clean water supplies.
If you don't want to buy any of my pieces of jewelry from Etsy, totally fine with me. I would, however, love it if you could donate at least a little bit directly to Samaritan's Purse, which you can do right here. If you're still questioning what Samaritan's Purse is all about, browse around their website a little. They'll tell you everything you need to know.
If you DO want to buy something from my Etsy shop, go ahead and click "The Shop!" at the top of my website and you will automatically be redirected to my store, or you can click here to be redirected to the shop as well.
