Out of curiosity, I've been reading articles about what other Christians thought of the yoga practice. Whether they thought Christians should be practicing it or not, and why. I'm a Christian, and have been ever since I could remember. That doesn't make me a perfect Christian, so my opinions aren't perfect, but I base them off of the Bible as much as I possibly can. Here's my thought on yoga, and Christians practicing it.
As my first writing prompt from 365 Days of Writing Prompts, the questions was: "Have you ever made a New Year's Resolution that you kept?" The answer is: Yes. I have, but I don't give myself much credit for it.
As an amateur writer, I always look for opportunities to improve my writing. As I was sipping my hot green tea, I began to browse the internet. I was trying to figure out [free] ways to further my writing career, and I came across the Daily Post blog. This site was a gem. It had many helpful tips about writing and beginning a blog.
Let's face it, I'm an Instagram addict. For me, it started out as slightly dull. I posted about anything and everything (as a high school student). I was only really following people that I was going to school with, whether I really knew them or not. It was a basic social networking app on my phone that specialized in posting what I had for lunch, group photos, or the gross spider I found in the shower. I didn't really have any rhyme or reason for my IG.
It wasn't until after I graduated from high school when I discovered there were some pretty awesome IG accounts out there. Accounts that really intrigued me. They all had a theme, and usually they were bloggers as well. I could scroll through their entire feed without it growing stale. I follow so many of these accounts now, that I cannot name them all in one post, but I can tell you my top 5 favorites as of right now. 1. Joy Prouty. @joyprouty Before I start making points, I want everyone reading this to know that I consider myself a beginner yogi myself. I am not a certified teacher or anything. I'm just a 20 year old that taught herself to do yoga at home. These tips are from what I have learned by trial and error. Hope this helps you out!
